Mekapati Goutham Reddy, minister of information, technology and industry in the government of Andhra Pradesh, died on Monday after suffering a heart attack.
According to reports, the 50-year-old minister was in Dubai bringing investment to the state and returned to Hyderabad on Sunday. He was rushed to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills after collapsing at home.

Expressing his deep shock and sorrow, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, he knew the minister from his early days as a promising young leader. He was at a loss for words when discussing the death of the young cabinet colleague.
The Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
In a statement, the hospital said: “The Minister arrived at the emergency room at 7:45 a.m. and was unresponsive, unbreathing and in cardiac arrest upon arrival. He received immediate CPR and advanced cardiac support in our emergency department, the emergency medicine team and specialists, including cardiologists and intensive care doctors, treated him.
“The CPR lasted over 90 minutes. Despite our best efforts, he could not be revived. He was pronounced dead at 9:16 a.m. today. We support his family as much as possible during this difficult time. »

Taking to Twitter, Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao said, “Deeply saddened and shocked beyond belief to learn of the sudden passing of my dear friend @MekapatiGoutham Garu. My sincere condolences to the family and loved ones. friends in this hour of mourning. Gone too soon brother. Pray that you rest in peace.
