Government would apply new Covid restrictions if needed

Boris Johnson has confirmed that the government will take further action if more action is needed to tackle Covid during the winter months.

When asked by the Prime Minister today, Mr Johnson was repeatedly asked about Tuesday night’s vote on Plan B restrictions in England, which required Labor support to pass after nearly 100 Tory MPs walked away. rebel against the Prime Minister.

Labor MPs will continue to vote for Covid regulation if needed, Keir Starmer said, as he asked the prime minister if the Tories would do the same.

The Labor leader said: ‘May I take this opportunity to make it clear to the Prime Minister that while further votes are needed to save lives and protect the NHS, Labor MPs will follow my leadership and we will always put the NHS first.

“May I ask the Prime Minister to put his house in order so that he can say the same about the members behind him?” ”

When asked if he would take further action, the Prime Minister replied: “Yes. If further measures are needed, as the Assembly will understand, if further regulations are necessary, of course, this House will have its say.

“As for following his leadership, they oscillated on plan B, they oscillated on quarantine, and if we had listened to him, we would not have even had the deployment of the vaccine. ”
