The White House Correspondents Association (WHCA) announced leGrio‘s fourth-row seat on Friday with its first updated seating plan in five years. The new seating arrangement will come into effect on January 3, 2022.
After less than a year of providing the White House with leading coverage of the Biden-Harris administration for Black America, leGrio was assigned a designated seat in the White House press briefing room.

LeGrio is the only “new medium” to be awarded one of the coveted 49 seats.
